A Smaller World=Pure Joy

Yesterday, Paul and I invited 5 LDS Sister Missionaries over for a quick dinner on the spur of the moment. It was in between sessions of General Conference and one thing we love to do is offer missionaries a change of pace with a home-cooked "American" meal, as "American" as you can get using Swiss/French ingredients that is. Now here is where the "Small World" comes in: One of the Sister Missionaries who happened to be at our church building this morning, but serving miles away in France was Sister Kate Harline. Kate's mom (Paula Kelly) and I were best friends in High School. It was fun to have her eat at our table and take pictures of her to send right home to her family. We live all of the way over on the other side of the earth, in Switzerland, but yesterday the world got a little smaller. What a delight it was to spend some time with the fruits of a dear friend from High School and participate in making the world a little smaller. I think the best words to describe it are, "Pure Joy".

It's probably a sign that i am pregnant but what "American" dish did you serve? I'm all about the food these days :)

How amazing that you were able to meet Paula's daughter on her mission. I special memory for all of you.
